9. How to trade PROTON "I"
A) Signals
B) Orders
C) Trading-Instruments
A)
- Signal provision
Proton I calculates the signals intraday, which are available to investors around 12:15 (CET) am via mobil-APP or Q4U trading dashboard.
As you can see in the screenshot below, all Proton signals are very transparent with ENTRY AND EXIT CONDITIONS on our trading dasboard.
- How long is one signal valid?
The PROTON I signal is valid up to next trading day @ 11:30 CET. After this time, the signal expires and should no longer be acted upon.
The PROTON SYSTEM is based solely on price data from official spot market trading hours (09:00–17:30 CET). Price movements outside this window (e.g., pre-market or after-hours) are excluded, as they do not meet the system’s statistical reliability standards. Executing trades outside these hours may lead to inconsistent or unintended outcomes.
- What should be done if an order is executed between 17:30 and 9:00 next day?
If a position is opened after 17:30 based on a PROTON O signal, it should be closed manually, as it is no longer aligned with a valid signal and falls outside the strategy’s defined parameters.
It is better to set your open orders to “pending” status until 9:00 a.m. the next day.
Are there signal updates or adjustments?
No. The PROTON O system is designed as a daily, rules-based strategy. Only one signal is generated per trading day, with no more changes or additional trade recommendations.
B)
- Order management
ENTRY:
The Entry is always a "limit" order.
Connect with your broker to place a "limit-order" valid until next trading day @11:30h.
If the order is not executed, it will be canceled.
EXIT:
All Exit signals/conditions are already communicated with the Entry signals.
The only both Exit-conditions (always valid) are:
a) “Market”-order to be activated after exactly 5 trading days (=time stop) or
b) 2% price stop (of entry price)
Depending on your broker, it is possible to enter the EXIT-conditions as a “conditional”-order already togehter with the opening trade.
C)
- Trading instruments
You can use all kind of derivatives on the DAX Performance Index to make the trade.
Typically, most traders use
- DAX Future
- DAX CFDs
- DAX Open End Turbos
We provide Trades with a set of products for trading Proton. The derivatives are linked to Proton Signal. You can select the leverage from the Leveraged Product finder for the signals.

- Who executes the trades?
Trade execution is carried out by the investor. The PROTON O system provides the trading signal and the stop level. However, the actual execution is the sole responsibility of the investor via their own brokerage account.
- What do “Long” and “Short” mean in this context?
Long: Taking a long position means you are expecting prices to rise, typically implemented through a call turbo certificate.
Short: Taking a short position means you are expecting prices to fall, generally executed using a put turbo certificate.
